Student life

For students, schooling is a memorable experience of a lifetime, something they fondly cherish as part of their childhood. Westberry School offers an ideal and conducive environment for students to develop their inherent curiosity into a passion for lifelong learning, through various Student Development Programmes. As part of its holistic approach, the school also strives to instil in its students a strong social and environmental conscience by involving them in Community Service and Environment Protection programmes.

With a wide variety of sports and playing levels, there’s great scope for every athlete on our campus.

Sports included as part of our curricula give students the opportunity to indulge in fitness as well as sports. Sporting activities offered at Westberry are diverse, such as

Extra Innings

Students have access to after-school activities in the arena of sports according to their varied interests. All after-school activities are conducted by faculty, adding another layer for them to connect with students and support them socially, and emotionally. The students get to work on valuable life skills, which aids them in the process of becoming responsible, enlightened, and reflective global citizens.

Educational Trips and Expeditions

Travel enriches one’s perspective and broadens our outlook towards other cultures and customs. The school arranges a wide variety of academic trips and visits, as well as outdoor activities. Central to the idea of these tours are the learning outcomes which are integral to the curriculum. We encourage pupils to broaden their horizons by taking them on a range of trips and expeditions. The events and activities we undertake on these trips help pupils to take up new challenges, enjoy exploring new destinations and learn what cannot be learnt behind a desk in the classroom. Educational tours include trips to popular destinations, giving the students an opportunity to learn on the go.

Community Service Learning

Empowered to Make a Difference

At Westberry, meaningful service-learning is integral to our mission and philosophy. Students at Westberry are empowered to make a difference in their communities. This creates opportunities for age-appropriate awareness and transformation of self and others through sustainable, reciprocal relationships built with communities and individuals.

  • Under Spoorthi Programme, our students teach basic literacy, English conversational skills and ICT skills to the sub-staff and their children. Students also get an opportunity to teach children from some of the Government Schools in the neighbourhood, thereby having a meaningful impact on their lives.
  • The SEWA programme encompasses the spirit of empathy and is helpful in inculcating valuable life skills in children. Under this programme, students visit old age homes, nursing homes, special needs homes and orphanages. Students realize the need to spread the love more than anything else and the difference they can make in these people’s lives!
